Residual deposits are found in fields that have already been extensively produced, leaving behind remaining oil and gas that is difficult to extract due to the complex geological structures and reduced reservoir pressure. Low-concentration reservoirs contain oil and gas at low saturations, making it difficult to economically produce these resources. Low-porosity reservoirs have a low capacity to hold fluids, making it challenging to extract hydrocarbons efficiently. Developing these types of reservoirs requires advanced technologies, such as enhanced oil recovery methods, and careful management of the reservoir to maximize recovery factors.
